SPRING FRIENDRAISER – REJOICING IN GOD’S GIFT OF MUSIC
T u e s d a y – We d n e s d a y , A p r i l 5th & 6th
It goes without saying that Classically Christian 89.5FM is a different type of radio
station.
Take a spin on your radio dial and what are you likely to hear – stations featuring non-stop talk or any number of music genres. Keep spinning your dial and you might find a religious station featuring contemporary Christian music or talk programs.
This station is different. Tune into 89.5FM and you’ll hear one of our solid biblical teaching programs or, more likely, some beautiful and calming classical or sacred classical music. Music makes up most of our daily programming, and that’s intentional. Hearing beautiful music lifts the soul and provides an opportunity to think and rest our hearts – two aspects that our noisy world provides few opportunities for.
The ways music blesses our lives shouldn’t surprise – the Bible has constant references to God’s people being blessed by or blessing God with both instruments and our voices. In the same way seeing a sunset, a snow-capped mountain range, or a shimmering lake can stir our souls, beautiful music is a blessing of God’s creation and fills our lives with joy.
If you appreciate the music of Classically Christian 89.5FM, can we ask your participation in our upcoming Friend Raiser? Scheduled for April 5 & 6, we’ll be broadcasting live from our studio with special interviews and an abundance of beautiful music, celebrating God’s provision over our first 9 years.
Our goal for this special on-air event is to raise $25,000. If you are blessed by the music we play as well as the in-depth teaching we provide, can you help us get a head-start toward this goal by donating today? You can give online at classicallychristian.org or by sending a gift in the enclosed envelope. Gifts of every amount are greatly appreciated.

THE APOSTLES’ CREED: PART 7
Rev. Christian McShaffrey
Pastor of Five Solas Church in Reedsburg, WI
“The third day he rose again from the dead”
In this article of the creed, we confess the bodily resurrection of Christ and the bold confidence we obtain by it: That our Saviour has conquered sin, put death to flight, and given us the hope of everlasting life. Without this confidence, we would be of all men most miserable (1 Cor. 15:19).
Sadly, fallen men seem to love wallowing about in their misery. The Jews bribed the soldiers who guarded Christ’s tomb to lie and say his body was stolen (Matt. 28:12-15). Muslims say that Jesus did not actually die or, if he did, that his body was secretly switched. Liberals say that it does not ultimately matter so long as he is “risen” in your heart.
Biblical prophecy foreshadowed the resurrection (Hosea 6:1-2), Jesus plainly predicted it (Matt. 17-22-23), and, once raised, he then appeared to his disciples and even to five hundred brethren at once (1 Cor. 15:3-6).
The Christian stands on the firmest ground possible in confessing Christ’s bodily resurrection. In doing so, he also finds sure hope that our mortal bodies shall also be raised on the last day. Confess this truth by faith and you will be able to smile, even in the face of death, saying, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”
(1 Cor. 15:55)
