Let Earth Receive Her King: A Service Of Advent Lessons And Carols

December 3rd at 4PM, the combined choirs of St Paul’s Tomah and St John’s Sparta lead in a Service of Advent Lessons and Carols titled ‘Let Earth Receive Her King’. This special service interspersed with scripture readings and music, will help in preparing our hearts for Christmas, all the while encouraging us to look for that Second Advent (Second Coming) of our Lord Jesus Christ. Much loved hymns and choral selections include, “O Come O Come Emmanuel”, “Joy To The World”, and the timeless choral classic by Manz “E’en So Lord Jesus Quickly Come”
LaCrosse native Lloyd Harter will serve as organist for the service and will present an organ concert at 3:30PM until the start of service. Organ works by Behnke, Ore, Brahms, and Bach are included.
