531 Fourth Avenue, Baraboo, W
The Sauk County Historical Society proudly announces Christmas at the Mansion returns this year with three days to experience all the warmth, charm, and cheer of the holiday season. Throughout the historic Van Orden Mansion in Baraboo twelve real Christmas trees and the rooms they are in will be decorated taking inspiration from this year’s theme – “Stories of Christmas.” From the Nativity story to modern classics, Christmas stories will inspire the decorations that some of our volunteers have been working on all year long.
This year the Van Orden Mansion will be open expanded hours on December 8, 9 & 10 from 2 to 7 pm each day. The mansion is located at 531 Fourth Avenue in Baraboo. Live music will fill the mansion as soloists and ensembles play Christmas music on a variety of instruments including piano, brass, string and harp. The dining room table in the mansion will be piled high with Christmas cookies, and other refreshments. On Saturday, December 9 horse and carriage rides around the block will be available from 2 to 5 pm. General admission is $8 per person. Admission is free for historical society members and children 12 and under. For more information visit saukcountyhistory.org
